Yesterday’s training was one of the very few trainings that had all eight of us down to train together. And, of all days, it had to be a day where almost everyone willingly joined the new tiang club—SPTC—because almost all of us kept tianging.

When I was doing some stationary shots, there was this time I tianged four times in a row. Four times! It was so frustrating that I got really angry and it made my following two shots in

I did not practice keeping for a long time. So, initially, practically everyone’s balls kept ramming into the goal. But after getting the hang of it, I managed to keep pretty decent balls. Especially those thrown by the alumni guys And Jackson tianged three times in a row! Jacky was much worse. Almost all his balls kept tianging.

Geok Cheng was saying that we practically tianged more than 50 balls yesterday

We played pretty okay with the guys. We managed to score three goals, too. If only we can play like this on Saturday (minus all the tianging), we could probably trash the other two teams

It would be Joycelyn’s last match with us So Geok was saying we should try and let her score as many goals as she can this Saturday

It is always amazing to discover the bruises and cuts and abrasions one can get after a training session. It is more of a wonder when one does not realise how one got the injury to begin with.

This one on my left may not look as gross but it hurts much more. I mean, its causing me to limp!

Now, my body is aching everywhere—arms, legs, back, neck… I wish I can have a clone of myself so I can get some massaging done on my back.

Anyway, we played pretty okay last weekend. We were up against NTU on Saturday, and Redtide and Devlin on Sunday.

I guess despite the lack of trainings together as a team, not to mention it’s not the team I have been playing together with for the past two years, we played pretty okay. Not too bad in my opinion. But we could have done better. Maybe we will show them this weekend

Before our match against Devlin, we were cheering loudly for Jackson as he was playing in the pool. The inside joke was that he complained that during training matches, whenever a girl scores, everyone cheers for her (including the guys) and whenever he (Jackson) scores, his own teammates does not even say, “Good shot.”

So, to make him feel better, we screamed and cheered like crazy whenever he scored a goal. And there was this goal he scored and we cheered like mad and he kind of gave a little bow as he rowed towards us and looked rather embarrassed

So, during our match against Devlin, he cheered like crazy for us, which was really amusing because seeing one single senior guy cheering for the whole girls team was just… amusing. Haha!

pls be reminded that all participants are required to wear their helmet at all times when u are in the pool. Players are not suppose to take off their helmet when they are inside the substitue area.

Refs can help to take note of that and remind the players to put on their helmet at all times when they are in the pool. thks

Darn, can’t believe we laughed so hard at a lot of things (including the above) on Saturday

Basically, it was against NUS but, somehow, we lost. But just by a goal. Considering that we have not been training together as a team, personally, I felt that we played pretty well. Just our luck, I guess.

Yesterday’s match was against TP Frost and we just played badly. Period.

I just got some last minute bad news but, I don’t care.

I am going to have fun at Genting later!

That was what we kept going round when we first started training almost two years ago. It’s a standing joke among my team

Anyway, the school’s swimming pool is finally back! After waiting for almost nine months of renovation and many, many months of dirty Kallang water, we finally have the pool back! And I just found out that the pool water is not chlorine water but… mineral water!

The school had the staff toilets renovated as well, and, boy, it’s really a comfort room I’m just not too happy with the water pressure because that means I will have to take forever to bathe. And I am not sure why nothing possessed the school to renovate the other public toilets as well. I mean, seriously, those toilets need to be renovated that badly and they did not do a single thing to them!

Oh, well.

Anyway, after more than a month of not training (at all!), I went back without much of a mood to train. Surprisingly, I realized that sprinting was not as tiring as I had anticipated it to be

But the aftermath of a Saturday training showed up on my system: bruised hands, knees and my lower back, cuts on legs, aching biceps, muscle cramps on toes, ankle, shins, calves, you name it, I cramped it…

At least the pool’s back so more trainings for the upcoming competition in April

On a side note (to Jolene and Geok Cheng), there is a dinner buffet at Funan IT Mall (City Hall) and Park Mall (DG). We could go there and have the Youth Buffet! *ahem ahem*

Finally, on a random note, the stupid turd dropped me into a thorny bush and now I have a big bruise on my knee and thorn cuts on my shin (aside from those attained during training)

In this last photo, I was apologizing to my opponent because they were a rather new team (think they have only been playing this sport for two months?) I had hand-tackled her and she capsized only to eject out of her boat. Feeling extremely guilty, I went over to apologize and told my teammates not to attempt any hand-tackles on them. If any senior knew that I had done this (apologizing, that is), I would surely get an earful from them

I guess I am too kind, sometimes.

Simon was around to guide us and teach us. I believe we’ve learnt quite a few things and improved on our shooting

Another good thing about training today was that the sun was bright, hot and sunny! So I got darker and that makes me a happy kid!

After that, we had a meal at Suntec. Then Joycelyn had to leave for work. So Geok Cheng and I walked around Suntec, browsing through the newer shops and finding nothing interesting to buy. Well, until we went to CityLink’s Giordano store and saw that the racer-back tops were going at $8 (with a minimum purchase of two tops). So we both got a black medium one

Oh! The stuff I bought online came! Three different packages arrived two days ago and I was so excited! Here’s the Hollister Co. tee I got and I really think it’s a swell purchase

After that, I gave Geok Cheng her early birthday present I got for her a couple of months back–a Phillip Soven autograph

Anyway, to touch on things that have been happening, well, nothing much actually. School’s still a chore (and a bore), still having an assignment that is overdue, a quiz that I managed to convince the lecturer to let me take a re-test (because I missed it due to illness but the doctor refused to grant me a MC) and my project is running behind schedule.

Training-wise ain’t that good either since my back has begun to hurt really bad recently and someone said that I might have a slip disc or something. To think that we are going to have friendlies with NP this Saturday. My arms feel flabby already

I miss my team

National Champs are finally over. After this week’s break, we are so going to train hard for SRRR08! Artello! Let’s all jia you together!
